After graduation, it was off to University of Fla. for two years. That
didn't work out, so I worked a year, then joined the Army for three
years. Upon discharge for the army, I worked another year, then returned to
college at University of South Florida. I met Diane (Riverview '65) in one
of my first classes at USF. We got married in Dec. 1968. I graduated from
USF in 1969. (Diane graduated from Univ. of W. Fla. a year later.) We
moved to Pensacola, where we lived for 16 years. I worked in insurance
claims (casualty adjuster). In 1985 I took a job with the Florida Dept. of
Insurance (now the Dept of Financial Services) working in the division that
liquidates bankrupt insurance companies. Diane is an academic advisor at
FSU.
We have two sons, both born in Pensacola. Matt (1972) graduated from FSU
and does "computer stuff" with Wachovia/Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC.
He and Denene just recently got married (no kids, yet). Greg (1975)
graduated from Fla. Atlantic Univ. and is an electrical engineer in
Gainesville, FL. He works for a company that designs, manufactures, and
services MRI equipment. Greg and Margaret are the parents of our two
fantastic, amazing, wonder and beautiful grandchildren, Breezy and Oliver.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone in October.
