I've been procrastinating about sending in photos because I thought I'd get more handsome the longer I wait!  Anyway, I'm living in Holmes Beach, FL (Anna Maria Island) with my second wife Fran(Curlin)Derr.  I have never lived anywhere other than Sarasota or Manatee Co. although we travel whenever we can.  I have two grown daughters, Kelley 36, and Wendy 28.  Kelley lives in LA, Wendy in North Port, FL.  After graduating SHS, I enlisted in the Navy in October,'59 and spend 4 years growing up!  I got out in '63 and went to college on the GI Bill (thank you taxpayers!)  Majored in Business Management & Finance.  After graduation, spend many years selling real estate on Siesta Key.  Then one day someone talked me into running for Sarasota County Commission, and wouldn't you know it, I got elected!  Served just 4 years, didn't get re-elected. After my brief career in politics, I joined NationsBank (now Bank of America) in 1995 and am still employed there, managing real estate for Wealth Management (trusts and estates).

We love living on the island and have a beautiful home on the water with a boat in the back yard...I fish A LOT!
